Singapore Ambassador to U.S. visits CFE-DM

Ashok Kumar Mirpuri, Singapore's ambassador to the U.S., met with Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance staff for an orientation brief on Center programs and initiatives March 14 on Ford Island, Hawaii.
Defence Attaché Brig. Gen. Leong Kum Wah of the Embassy of the Republic of Singapore accompanied the ambassador.
"You have a very important role to play," said Mirpuri. "The coordination and pre-positioning of supplies and resources, as well as relationships, before a disaster is critical."
